In other exciting news, all sixth grade students will be enrolled in our new Transition to Middle School course which will help them to develop organizational, social, and critical thinking skills which will help lay the foundation for success during their middle school years. Students will be enrolled in eight total classes including core classes, electives, Intensive Reading*, Intensive Math*, and PE/Health. I am pleased to announce that our school will be moving to an A/B day scheduling configuration where students will attend four 90-minute classes per day. We showed marked improvement in Biology (+14%), Math Learning Gains (+10%), Math Lowest Performing Quartile Learning Gains (+10%), Civics (+5%) and Science (+8%)!!
